Running/Returning

My name is Andrea. I am a graduate music student. On May 29th, 2010, I was planning on running my first marathon. This blog was to be a documentation of my training and anything else I find tumblrable. However, in about week 11 of training, when my long runs were up to 14 miles, I developed terrible shin splints in my left leg. Like, hurts to walk shin splints. Anyway, long story short, I ran the thing. I didn't finish, but I did make it to mile 16, and plan to run a full 26.2 someday soon. This blog is sometimes about running, more about cycling, but mainly about me...the things I like, obligatory funny shit, day to day life, my attempts at writing creatively, and...who the Hell knows. This is me. I make no apologies.

I’ve spent the majority of my night getting lost in music history textbooks in preparation for my M.M. comp exams while simultaneously watching a documentary on Beethoven. I love being in music. I always have….I think it’s just easy to get lost in all the bullshit that comes along with it. I really love what I do….so I am sorry if I get negative about things. I am a music-maker. I help create beautiful art. I help keep history alive. This is I will gladly do for the rest of my life, until death do us part.
