Intermediate program...?
First of all, I would like to thank good friends, the grad lounge, and Ingrid Michaelson for getting me through today.
As for today’s run…done. However. This was supposed to be a pace run. I kept pace for 4 miles, but was pretty expletive tired for the last mile. I guess this is my first real hard weekend in terms of running (since a couple years ago), and those 8 miles yesterday...

My new tumblelog...?
I have decided to nix my previous tumblelog, visionaryrabbit. I loved that blog, but I concluded in my slightly inebriated state late last night that the only way I can stop obsessing over this is to cut all ties with my antagonist. So I did.
The realization that this is over hit me hard last night. I was proud of how strong I had been, but around 7pm, when I was alone with my memories and empty...
le sigh
I digressed a couple steps in training this week. I should be on week 3, but now I’m back to week 1. Which is quite alright, actually. 18 weeks from Saturday is Marathon Day. So, technically, I’m right on track.

I completed my eight miles on Saturday morning, in Rochester, and then almost finished a 5 miles pace on Sunday.
Great. Swell. I am doing this as a personal goal, and it shouldn’t matter that no one seems to give a darn or congratulate me...
First mid-week long run
Five miles today. This seems like nothing in the grand scheme, but during Week One it’s enough. The sorta long run, or the mid-week long Wednesday run starts at five miles and increases to 7 or 8, max. It’s surrounded by two shorter runs on Tuesday and Thursday, 3 miles each in Week One.
I opted to do today’s 5 on the treadmill for several reasons. (a) I hate running in Ithaca...
Day 1 and 2
I’ve done this before. Sort of. A few years ago I ran two half marathons (13.1 miles) in Detroit and Rochester about a month apart from each other. I trained alone all summer in Harrison Twp., MI, when I was home for summer break (when I used to want to go home for summer break). The trail I trained on was a paved path leading to a beach, a park and a beach, actually, on Lake St. Clair.Lake...
